That means Marrakech
Welcome to Miostello!
We are a lifestyle hostel built in an ancient riad completely renovated in 2019, located within the walls of the old Marrakech Medina. Our design hostel is in the lively and safe Bab Doukkala district, known for its authentic and traditional shops, where you can still experience the true soul of the Medina: markets of fruits and vegetables, artisans, bakers, pastry chefs, butchers and local restaurants, always open and crowded at any time day and night.
Despite the liveliness of the area, the hostel is in a small and quiet “derb” (Moroccan word for “neighbourhood”) inhabited by local families, where children still play on the street. Forget the most touristic areas of the Medina, here you’ll be in the real Marrakech!
Miostello is at walking distance to almost any place of interest located in the Medina (Jemaa El Fna, Koutoubia Mosque, Medersa Ben Youssef, the Souks, etc.) and in the new town districts of Gueliz and Hivernage (Jardin Majorelle, Yves Saint Laurent Museum, trendy restaurants and clubs).
And if you are a bit lazy or tired of walking, taxi stop is just 150 meters from the hostel.
Our hostel is on two floors, plus a fantastic terrace and panoramic solarium, where you can enjoy a unique view of the entire old city with the Atlas Mountains on the background.
At Miostello hostel there is free Wi-Fi everywhere. And for late sleepers, check-out is just before noon.
Hope to have you soon with us!

Want to relax or chat with old and new friends, listening to some good music? The “Donkey Lounge” is the place for you in our hostel. Take a break on its soft sofas and pouffes after a long day spent in the narrow alleys of the magical Marrakech Medina. Miostello's heart beats in this living room, as shown by the “big-hearted donkey” mural created for our design hostel by the famous Marrakech-based artist Monk (@monk.hf).

- Soft sofas and pouffes
Our Cats Cafè, named from another funny mural by Monk on the first floor of our design hostel, is the right place to start the day with a breakfast buffet of fresh products from local producers (toasted bread with butter, jam and honey, yogurt and cereals, fresh orange juice, fruit and homemade cakes, mint tea and other hot beverages).
During the day, you can have a snack or a drink after your tour of the town. Enjoy them here or take them up on the terrace of the hostel!
And if you are too tired to go out eating at night, check our food offer on the billboard or by asking to the hostel staff.

HOTSPOTS
There are many great places to eat in the Medina: from elegant Moroccan restaurants to small stalls crowded with locals, from cafes serving traditional food to modern places mixing tradition and innovation.
Here is a small selection of locations nearer to our hostel (all less than 20 mins walk from Miostello):
- Café des Épices (75 Derb Rahba Lakdima)

Ask our Staff for an advice to find other “hidden gems”!
Each part of the Medina is an open-air market where you can find everything you need (and even what you don’t!). You just have to walk and let be inspired by what you see.
Souks are the perfect place to buy any sort of things but, if you are not willing to bargain, here are some useful tips (all not far from Miostello):

Marrakech is in a strategic position and its surroundings well deserve a visit. That’s why we can offer different one-day excursions, in collaboration with the partner travel agencies of our hostel.
Here is a list of the “great classics”, but there are many other things you can do: rides on the back of dromedary across the palm grove of Marrakech, quad-tours crossing Berber villages with panoramic views of the Atlas, 2 or 3 days excursions to Zagora, Agafay or the Merzouga Desert… ask Staff of our hostel what is available!
